How to Play Color Hunt
Color Hunt is a fast reaction game. The board fills with tiles of one color — except one tile is a slightly different shade. Tap the odd one out before the timer runs down. Sounds easy? Each round the grid grows and the shades get closer.
1. The rules
- Find the one tile whose color is a bit off, and tap it.
- Beat the timer — every correct tap adds a little time; a wrong tap costs time and resets your combo.
- It ramps up: the grid goes from small to large and the color difference shrinks each round.
2. Best strategy
- Scan, don't stare. Soften your focus and take in the whole board at once — the odd tile tends to "pop" in your peripheral vision faster than checking tiles one by one.
- Look for brightness, not just hue. The odd tile is usually slightly lighter or darker. Hunting for a brightness difference is faster than judging color.
- Don't panic-tap. A wrong tap is double damage — lost time and a broken combo. A half-second of certainty beats a guess.
- Protect your combo. Points multiply with your combo streak, so a clean run of correct taps scores far more than fast-but-sloppy.
- Use a pattern on big grids. Sweep left-to-right, top-to-bottom so your eyes don't re-check the same tiles.
3. Daily & practice
Play the Daily for the same board as everyone else and build a streak, or switch to Practice for unlimited runs to sharpen your reactions. Share your result to challenge a friend.
